【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiestheminimumperformancerequirements,technicalcharacteristicsandmethodsoftesting,andrequiredtestresults,forabridgenavigationalwatchalarmsystem(BNWAS)asrequiredbyChapterVoftheInternationalConventionfortheSafetyofLifeatSea(SOLAS),asamended.IttakesaccountofthegeneralrequirementsgiveninIMOresolutionA.694(17)andisassociatedwithIEC60945.WhenarequirementinthisInternationalStandardisdifferentfromIEC60945,therequirementinthisstandardtakesprecedence.ThisstandardincorporatesthepartsoftheperformancestandardsincludedinIMOresolutionMSC.128(75).(128/A1)Thepurposeofabridgenavigationalwatchalarmsystem(BNWAS)istomonitorbridgeactivityanddetectoperatordisabilitywhichcouldleadtomarineaccidents.ThesystemmonitorstheawarenessoftheOfficeroftheWatch(OOW)andautomaticallyalertstheMasteroranotherqualifiedOOWifforanyreasontheOOWbecomesincapableofperformingtheOOW'sduties.ThispurposeisachievedbyaseriesofindicationsandalarmstoalertfirsttheOOWand,ifheisnotresponding,thentoalerttheMasteroranotherqualifiedOOW.Additionally,theBNWASmayprovidetheOOWwithameansofcallingforimmediateassistance,ifrequired.TheBNWASshouldbeoperationalwhenevertheshipisunderwayatsea(SOLASV/19.2.2.3).
