【摘要】:Thismethoddeterminesthenumberofbranches(thatis,comonomercontent)incopolymersofethylenewith1-butene,1-hexeneor1-octene.Thisinformationcanbecorrelatedwithphysicalpropertiessuchasmeltingpoint,density,andstiffness,allofwhichdependonthedegreeofcrystallinityofthepolymer.Differencesinthecomonomercontentthusmayhaveasignificanteffectonthefinalpropertiesofproductsmadefromtheseresins.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofmethylgroups(thatis,comonomercontent)inpolyethylenesbyinfraredspectrophotometry.Thetestmethodisapplicabletocopolymersofethylenewith1-butene,1-hexene,or1-octenehavingdensitiesabove900kg/m3.High-pressurelow-densitypolyethylenes(LDPE)andterpolymersareexcluded.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunits,basedonIEEE/ASTMS1-10,aretoberegardedasthestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1--ThereisnosimilarorequivalentISOstandard.
